In this Issue of the Gardenview Gazette, we wanted to share some of our very own easy and delicious recipes! We have decided to share two very special recipes with you; one is a very simple, sweet caramelized bananas. The second is a recipe for Easter themed snicker-doodles (A.K.A. sugar cookies).

Making Caramelized Bananas:

Ingredients and their quantities:

2 T. of butter

2 bananas peeled and sliced as you wish

½ a cup of maple syrup

Instructions:

#1. Melt 2 tablespoons of of butter in a pan, on medium-high heat.

#2. When the butter has melted, add the maple syrup in the pan and mix with a spoon.

#3. Place the sliced bananas in the pan and wait till you see bubbles.

#4. Check the underside of the bananas, and when they are slightly golden, flip them.

#5. Do the same for the other side until all is golden.

#6. Transfer the bananas to a clean plate and drizzle the rest of the syrup over them.

#7. Wait until they cool down, because sugar takes longer to cool than water.

And #8. Enjoy the treat you have made.

Snicker Doodle

Cream 1 c unsalted butter.

⅔ c brown sugar and c granulated sugar in a bowl.

Add 2 eggs and 1 tsp of vanilla.

Beat until smooth.

In another bowl, combine 3 c of flour, ½ tsp salt, 1 tsp baking soda & ½ tsp cream of tartar.

Pour dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.

Mix well.

Chill dough for 30-60 mins in the fridge.

Preheat oven to 300 °F(149 °C).

Combine ½ c sugar and 4 tsp of cinnamon on a plate.

Roll dough into small balls.

Roll balls in cinnamon/sugar mixture and press onto greased cookie sheet.

Put in oven until golden, unless not fully cooked.

Voila! Just like that, you have delicious snicker-doodles for you and your family to enjoy.

Bon Appetit!
